Nokia N96 At Flagship Stores

Have you been waiting patiently for Nokiaâs N96 handset to hit Nokiaâs stores? Well, your patience has paid off, as the phone is now available at Nokiaâs 2 flagship stores in New York and Chicago. The phone might be a tad expensive there though, as itâs priced at $842 (unlocked), which is higher than the $800 that Best Buy is asking for. If youâre really looking for a deal, Amazon has the phone priced at $705.99, though the shipping date is November 9th. If youâre willing to wait a few days to save a hundred odd dollars, then why not?

North American N96 hits Nokia flagship stores
Nokia’s North American N96 has already made an appearance at Best Buy Mobile locations but, if you’re the die hard type that prefers to keep things as Nokia-centric as possible, you’ll no doubt be pleased to know that Nokia’s flagship phone is now also available at Nokia’s two flagship stores in New York and Chicago. You will have to pay a slight premium for all that Nokia-ness, however, with the phone running a hefty $842 (unlocked, of course) at the stores compared to the $800 Best Buy is asking. Those with a bit more will power and slightly less affection for Nokia may want to think twice though, as Amazon now also has the phone listed for just $705.99, albeit with a promised ship date of November 9th.

Nokia’s N85 drops by the FCC, dips head, inquires about what’s good
Not that we ever (okay, maybe there was a moment of weakness in there somewhere) doubted that Nokia’s N85 was North America-bound, but the handset dubbed superior to the flagship N96 by one Italian reviewer is indeed coming to US soil. And we’ve found the FCC documentation to prove it. At this point though, there’s little the User Guide, external / internal photos and SAR report can tell us that we don’t already know, so again, the takeaway here is that we’re one (huge) step closer to having an N85 to call our own. Now that’s what’s up.

Nokia N85 Passes FCC Hurdle

The Nokia N85 looks set to make an appearance in the US pretty soon, with a third version of the N85 making it past the FCC hurdle recently. Two previous versions already made the cut - one without 3G support and another supporting 3G (WCDMA 900/1900/2100) networks. This approved third version will see the WCDMA V (850MHz) band in the new RM-334 model, and will be available as a full 7 band capable phone with 850/900/1800/1900 GSM and 850/1900/2100 WCDMA. It will be interesting to see how much this new N85 will cost.

Nokia N96 Available On Best Buy

If youâre desperate for Nokiaâs N96 phone, then all you have to do is fork over a measly $799.99 to Best Buy. Weâre not sure whether itâs more painful for the phone not to be available, or to be available but priced beyond most people. For those of you who are still undecided whether you want drop $800 for this phone, you can always drop by the store as there are now demo units in some stores. The question is, can you resist and not buy the phone after playing with it?

Nokia N85 Visits The FCC

There were already a version or two of Nokiaâs N85 passing the FCCâs tests, but this time a third variation has also paid the FCC a visit, and it looks like this variant will support AT&Tâs 3G networks. This N85 variant will support the 850/1900GSM, 850/1900 WDCDMA frequencies.

Nokia’s N96 comes to Best Buy for upwards of $800
Man, Nokia sure is proud of its unlocked N96, huh? As with the HTC Touch Diamond in CompUSA and the BlackBerry Bold at Best Buy Mobile, the flagship N-series device won’t run you cheap off-contract. The Boy Genius shows off a flyer advertising the 16GB, 5MP powerhouse for “just” $799.99 (as expected), but judging by the standard $899.99 price on the outfit’s website, we’re thinking the lower sticker may be for a limited time only. The question isn’t how bad do you want it — it’s do you really want it more than 1.825 WiMAX-enabled N810s?

Nokia N96 Media-Cameraphone Lands at Best Buy For $800 [Nokia]
News of the European debut and pricing of Nokia’s anticipated N96 slider cellphone stirred up debate about its pricing: but now it’s nearly here in Best Buy and yes, that $800 price tag is intact. That’s clearly just for the phone, naked and un-contracted to a provider, but it’s a massive amount of cash—half as much again as an unsubsidized Blackberry Bold. If you’re skeptical but want to check out if the beast is worth 800 smackeroos, there’ll be hands-on display units in some stores apparently. [BGR]

Nokia E63 Pictured Live

Most people didnât expect it, but Nokiaâs E63 make a surprise appearance at the Symbian smartphone show last week. While the phone was labeled Exx, itâs very obvious that it is the E63 that has been reported recently, and itâs even been pictured next to the current E71. One of the things that you might note of the E63 is that the keyboard has been shrunk to accommodate a few more keys. The fact that Nokia thinks that the phone is mature enough to be shown to the public probably means that weâll be able to see this phone sometime soon.

Nokia 5800 XpressMusic Pimped in Christina Aguilera Video [Product Placement]
After making an appearance in a recent Britney Spears video, and showing up again in Christina Aguilera’s video for “Keeps Gettin’ Better” (about 1:07 in), Nokia’s marketing strategy regarding their new 5800 XpressMusic is becoming pretty clear. At least this time the singer can actually, you know…sing. Hit the jump to check out a couple of stills.
